Date: 5-9 October, 2009; location:  The aim of the event is to provide a forum for the presentation of new geological studies and discussion of geodynamic models. It is hoped to provide a geological framework for the exploration of oil and mineral deposits in the Black Sea Region. The objectives are to form an organization by which periodical meetings will be held to discuss the geology of the circum-Black Sea Region; to provide a forum to the scientists of the circum-Black Sea countries for exchange of professional ideas and to discuss common geological problems; to provide a geological framework for the exploration of oil and mineral deposits in the Black Sea Region as well as to provide a medium for the preparation and the realization of the joint projects among the circum-Black Sea countries.
