Innovative Approaches to Mining Cleanup and Reuse Workshop

The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) Office of Superfund Remediation and Technology Innovation (OSRTI) and the International Committee on Contaminated Land are pleased to co-host the Innovative Approaches to Mining Site Cleanup and Reuse Workshop to be held in the Washington, DC Metro Area (Arlington, Virginia) on October 6, 2011. The workshop will promote and facilitate information exchange on mining site cleanup and reuse issues that focus on: Building sustainability into mining site cleanup Innovations in mining site cleanup technologies Engaging communities in site cleanup and reuse decisions The target audience for this workshop are environmental professionals from the public and private sector who would benefit from an exchange of information and networking opportunities on site cleanup and reuse approaches at active and former mining sites on all continents. EPA and the ICCL are expecting participation from the U.S., Europe, Australia, the Americas, China, and other international organizations and governments
