Instituto Geologico y Minero de España and EuroGeoSurveys at 5th WWF


On March 21st, 2009, on the occasion of the 5th World Water Forum, a special session organized by the Spanish Ministry of the Environment, Water Directorate in cooperation with the Instituto Geologico y Minero de España (IGME) took place. The session, held at the booth of the ministry, focused on water protection issues. IGME was represented by Dr Carlos Martínez Navarette, the director of the IGME´s Department of Research and Geological Resources, as well as Juan Carlos Rubio Campos, Juan de Dios Gómez and Gerardo Ramos González. Presentation of Dr Navarette focused on IGME´s role in national groundwater investigations. EuroGeoSurveys was represented by Dr Klonowski who delivered a presentation: “The role of EuroGeoSurveys in groundwater policies in Europe”.
