Official launch of the Geothermal Panel within ETP-RHC
The European Commission has officially established and endorsed the European Technology Platform for Renewable Heating and Cooling (ETP-RHC). The kick-off meeting of the platform will take place on June 26th, 2009 in Brussels (more info: com@egec.org). Four panels have been created within ETP-RHC: solar thermal, biomass, geothermal and cross cutting issues (district heating, storage, cooling…). The interested parties will be invited to submit an Expression of Interest to become member of the Geothermal Panel’s Steering Committee. European Technology Platforms (ETPs) are instruments created by the European Commission to bring together stakeholders in technology to strengthen Europe’s leading position in certain technological fields. ETPs are expected to have a decisive influence on European R&D politics. The Platform intends to elaborate detailed research strategies within the next two years.
