High Level Conference 'EU-Africa Partnership on Raw Materials'

 

Translating Mineral Resource Wealth into Real Development for Africa

A new partnership between the European Union and the African Union to make the extraction of raw materials more profitable for African countries and more sustainable from a social and environmental point of view. This will be the subject of discussion on Thursday, 26 January 2012, during the High Level Conference 'EU-Africa Partnership on Raw Materials: Translating Mineral Resource Wealth into Real Development for Africa', that will be he held at the Hotel Metropole in Brussels.

The Conference will be opened by European Commission Vice-President Antonio Tajani, with speakers including European Commissioners, African Ministers and executives from major organisations like EuroGeoSurveys (EGS), the organisation of the Geological Surveys of Europe, and OAGS, the Organisation of African Geological Surveys.
