World Conference on Paleontology and Stratigraphy (WCPS 2011)

The World Conference on Paleontology and Stratigraphy(WCPS2011) is an international conference which will be held in order to celebrate His Majesty the King’s 84th Anniversary on 5 December 2011. The conference is held by the Northeastern Research Institute of Petrified Wood and Mineral Resources (NRIP), Nakhon Ratchasima Rajabhat University, in cooperation with international and domestic museums, universities, government agencies and private sectors. During the conference, all aspects of paleontology, ranging from tiny extinct creatures to large marine and terrestrial animals, are welcome to be presented. The themes involve vertebrates, invertebrates, microfossils, plant fossils and associated subjects, such as ichnologyand taphonomy. The conference also includes various aspects of stratigraphy such as biostratigraphy, lithostratigraphy and chronostratigraphy. Contributions related to technologies available for studies of paleontological samples as well as fossil-site and museum management and fossil energy are also welcome.
