Geoscientific knowledge and skills in African Geological Surveys

In the occasion of the 25th Congress on African Geology (CAG25) in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania, the Organisation of African Geological Surveys (OAGS) and EuroGeoSurveys (EGS) invite all Geological Survey representatives, academia, geologists and scientists to an information session on the project ‘Geoscientific knowledge and skills in African Geological Surveys’. The session will provide insight and information on a feasibility study undertaken to assess the current state of Geological Surveys in Africa and develop a strategy for sustainable strengthening of African countries´ geological administrations. The strategy focuses on natural resources governance, enforcing sustainable mineral resources exploitation as well as preventing and mitigating natural disasters by establishing long-term strategic cooperation relationships in these areas.
